Hamaara Sidhu kidhar hai, says Imran Khan while enquiring about his arrival at Kartarpur corridor

Karachi: Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan referred to Navjot Singh Sidhu as “hamaara Sidhu” while enquiring about his arrival at the Kartarpur corridor opening ceremony on November 9. Along with other officials, Khan arrived at the inauguration ceremony in the shuttle service being used by pilgrims.
In a video that has gone viral on social media, Khan, while in the shuttle, asked for Sidhu, saying, “Achcha hamaara woh Sidhu kidhar hai? Main keh raha hoon hamaara Sidhu.”
The video garnered several likes and has also been viewed over 21,000 times.
Ahead of the 550th birth anniversary of Guru Nanak Dev, Imran Khan inaugurated the Kartarpur corridor in the Punjab province. The corridor will pave the way for thousands of Indian Sikh pilgrims to visit the Kartarpur Sahib Gurdwara.
Former Indian Prime Minister Manmohan Singh led the first delegation of Sikh pilgrims as they entered Pakistan through the Kartarpur corridor. Punjab Chief Minister Amarinder Singh was also part of the ‘jatha’ while Sidhu was the chief guest at the opening ceremony in Pakistan as he was invited by Imran Khan.
During his speech at the opening ceremony in Pakistan, Sidhu thanked Imran Khan as well as Prime Minister Narendra Modi. “It is the first time since partition that the boundaries have been dismantled. No one can deny my friend Imran Khan’s contribution. I thank Modi ji also for it. I am sending a Munnabhai MBBS-style hug to you Modi sahab for this,” Sidhu said.
The Kartarpur corridor connects Dera Baba Nanak shrine in Punjab’s Gurdaspur to Gurdwara Darbar Sahib in Pakistan, the final resting place of Guru Nanak Dev.
