Man Walks through Newark Airport Unchecked, Terminal Locked Down
In a major security breach at Newark International Airport in New Jersey, an unidentified man walked the wrong way through a security checkpoint on Sunday night.
The man entered the gate of Terminal C, which is an exit gate not meant for the general public. He was seen walking down an exit lane at Terminal C at about 0530 PM Eastern Time on Sunday.
Officials are reviewing video from airport cameras and attempting to identify the man.
All flights from Newark International Airport have been grounded and a terminal has been locked down.
Following the failed attempt to blow up a US airliner, US authorities have stepped up checking measures of passengers from 14 countries including Pakistan.
