Pak Authorities Arrest One More Suspect in Times Square Bomb Plot Case
One more person has been taken into custody by Pakistani authorities in connection with Times Square bomb plot, said media reports.
The man, who is the eleventh person to be detained in the case, has been identified as Qamar Ejaz, said reports quoting unnamed sources.
Qamar is brother of Adnan Ejaz, a former major in Pakistani army who is already in custody for having alleged links with Faisal Shahzad, a Pakistani-American and the prime suspect in the plot, reports said.
Reports, however, said that it was not yet clear as to how Qamar is connected to Shahzad, the son of a former Pakistani Air Force officer.
Shahzad was arrested at John F Kennedy International Airport while trying to board a flight to Dubai on May 3, two days after he planted an explosive-laden vehicle in Manhattan’s Times Square. The bomb failed to detonate.
