Tamil Tigers Preparing for Mass Suicide
With Lankan army on the verge of entering into their territory and eliminating them all, the Tamil rebels are preparing to commit “mass suicide”, the defense ministry said.
A statement released by the ministry said: “The Tigers are are preparing for a mass suicide after being effectively cut-off of escape routes, both land and sea, and now encircled in a mere 3.5 square kilometres (1.3 square miles) of land.”
It said that their “only way out is to surrender to the security forces or to be crushed in the military advance.”
In addition, the ministry said that it believed that leader of LTTE Velupillai Prabhakaran is still hiding in the area.
