Talks in Interest of India, Pak: US
Supporting Indo-Pak parleys, the US has said that it’s in the interest of the two south Asian neighbours to resolve their differences mutually through dialogue, said media reports.
“We appreciate and certainly endorse increasing dialogue between Pakistan and India,” the State Department spokesman PJ Crowley, was quoted as saying during his daily news conference.
“It is in, you know, their self-interest and our larger interest to see dialogue that can help to resolve, you know, tensions that exist between the two countries,” Crowley was quoted as saying.
He made the statement in response to a query about the talks between the Indian and Pakistani Foreign Secretary’s and Home Ministers in Islamabad.
