UK MPs Approve Report Censuring Ex-PM Boris Johnson Over ‘Partygate’
MPs voted by 354 to seven in favour of the report’s findings, with many Conservatives, including Prime Minister Rishi Sunak, abstaining.
British MPs on Monday voted overwhelmingly to remove ex-prime minister Boris Johnson’s parliamentary pass as they approved a damning report that found he lied to parliament about Covid lockdown-breaking parties.

The House of Commons voted 354 to seven on Monday to endorse the privileges committee’s report, which concluded that the former leader should have his parliamentary pass revoked. Had he not already quit, it would have also recommended a 90-day suspension from parliament.
The vote, according to Johnson’s predecessor Theresa May, would be “a small but important step in restoring people’s trust” in parliament.
