25 Urdu litterateurs to get national and state level awards
Bhopal. Madhya Pradesh Urdu Akademi will confer national and state level awards to Urdu litterateurs. The award ceremony will be held at auditorium of State Archaeological Museum, Shyamla Hills, Bhopal on August 26 and 27. Besides, mushaira and the awardees’ statements marking birth anniversaries of Ismat Chughtai and Rajendra Singh Bedi will also be held.
On the first day August 26 at 7 pm, Principal Secretary Shri Manoj Shrivastava will be the chief guest while former MP Shri Kailash Narayan Sarang will preside over. Commissioner Culture Shri Ajatshatru Shrivastava and veteran litterateur Shri Iqbal Majeed will also be present.
10 litterateurs to get All-India awards
For year 2011-12, Dr. Sadiq Ali of Delhi will be conferred “All-India Meer Taqi Meer Award” (creative literature), “Hakeem Qamrul Hasan Award” (Journalism) to Shri Haqqani Ul Qasmi of Delhi, “Hamid Saeed Khan Award” (creative literature) to Prof. Qasim Niazi of Bhopal, “Shadan Indori Award” (creative literature) to Dr. Ali Abbas Ummeed of Bhopal and “Jauhar Qureshi Award” (satire & humour) will be conferred to Dr. Anees Sultana of Bhopal.
For year 2012-13, Prof. Afaq Ahmad of Bhopal will be conferred “All-India Meer Taqi Meer Award” (creative literature), “Hakeem Qamrul Hasan Award” (Urdu journalism) to Shri Hasan Kamal of Mumbai, “Hamid Saeed Khan Award” (creative literature) to Shri Naseer Parwaz of Bhopal “Shadan Indori Award” (creative literature) to Shri Rasheed Indori of Indore and “Jauhar Qureshi Award (satire & humour) will be conferred to Toofan Afandi of Bhopal.

In all, 8 litterateurs will be conferred state level awards for year 2011-12 and 7 for year 2012-13. For year 2011-12, Shri Tahoor Mansoori Nigah of Rewa will be conferred “Siraj Meer Khan Sahar Award” (creative literature), “Basit Bhopali Award (creative literature) to Shri Qamar Uddin Bartar of Gwalior, “Mohammad Ali Taj Award” to Shri Aftab Arif of Bhopal, “Nawab Siddiq Hasan Khan Award” (Research & Criticism) to Dr. Khalil Ahmad of Indore, “Sheri Bhopali Award” (Research & Criticism) to Prof. Haidar Abbas Rizvi of Bhopal, “Kaif Bhopali Award” (Urdu teacher) to Shri Habib Alam of Khandwa, “Shambhu Dayal Sukhan Award” (Non-Urdu people) to Shri Tilakraj Paras of Jabalpur and “Shifa Gwaliori Award” (For New Litterateurs) will be conferred to Mohtarma Sultana Hijab of Bhopal.
