Elon Musk’s brain-chip startup company Neuralink has created a device for the blind. The company claims that the device will help even those who have lost both their eyes to see. It has received approval from the Food and Drug Administration (FDA). Neuralink has named this device Blindsight.

Musk said that this device will be helpful for those who have lost both their eyes or whose optic nerve is damaged. It has also been claimed that this device will also help those people to see who are blind from birth.

Musk said that the device will initially be visible in low resolution. Gradually the vision will improve. Not only this, the person wearing the device will also be able to see infrared and ultraviolet waves.

Musk will also implant a chip in the brain of paralyzed patients. The US government has given breakthrough device designation to Neuralink’s Blindsight device. This designation is given to such devices that help prevent life-threatening situations.

Earlier, Musk had said that Neuralink is planning to implant a chip in the brains of 8 patients this year. This device will help paralyzed patients.
