Prime Minister Narendra Modi honored two IAS officers of Madhya Pradesh. Awarded to Anurag Jain and Bhavya Mittal in a program organized on Civil Services Day at Vigyan Bhawan, Delhi at 11 am on Friday. Burhanpur Collector Bhavya Mittal was awarded for her excellent work in Jal Jeevan Mission. Senior IAS Anurag Jain, posted on deputation at the Centre, was honored for his excellent work in PM Gati Shakti.

A presentation of the good works of both the officers was also shown during the programme. In Burhanpur, Collector Bhavya Mittal did an excellent job in providing drinking water to every household through water. Every government school in the district has drinking water facility. Apart from this, it is the first district in the country, where drinking water was supplied to every household through taps. To know the current situation, the team of Union Ministry of Jal Shakti had also inspected in Burhanpur. On the basis of the state report, Burhanpur was given the first place in the central report after inspection in 12 districts. IAS Bhavya arranged monthly salary in Burhanpur for the operation of the scheme. While implementing in the direction of women empowerment, Collector Bhavya also gave important responsibility to women self-help groups in running the scheme. Drinking water is being provided to more than one lakh families of 254 villages of 167 gram panchayats of Burhanpur district under the scheme.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi honored Anurag Jain, senior IAS officer of 1989 batch, for his work in Covid-19 vaccine and PM Gati Shakti. Jain also did excellent work in the PM Gati Shakti project while on deputation to the Center as Secretary, Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade (DPIIT). Told in the presentation that the project made several innovations for infrastructure development to promote internal trade by 2047. Jain was also honored by PM Modi for formulating the PM Gati Shakti Master Plan. Let us inform that on Thursday, the Ministry of Personnel issued an order and gave Jain the responsibility of Secretary, Ministry of Road Transport and Highways.
