$20,000 Fine on Ganguly for Slow-over Rate against Deccan Chargers

Kolkata Knight Riders skipper Sourav Ganguly has been fined $20,000 for slow over-rate in the opening match of the third edition of the IPL against Deccan Chargers on Friday, said media reports.

According to IPL, Ganguly was fined when Kolkata Knight Riders were found to be behind their required over rate by three overs, said reports.

Match referee Andy Pycroft fined Ganguly under the IPL’s Code of Conduct pertaining to minimum over rate offences, said reports.

Kolkata Knight Riders had beaten Deccan Chargers by 11 runs on Friday.
