New Delhi: The Delhi Police today said ISI agent Kafaitullah Khan’s accomplice Abdul Rasheed was trying to get posting in the border areas so that he could pass on the information to Pakistani handler and help in the infiltration of terrorists.
“They used code words while talking to accomplices on phone. They were also trying to get the BSF jawan (Abdul Rasheed) posted in border areas so that he can help in the infiltration of terrorists,” Joint Commissioner of Police (Crime Branch) Ravindra Yadav told the media here.
“Joint interrogation by the Crime Branch of Delhi Police, intelligence agencies, Madhya Pradesh Police and BSF is going on. The Madhya Pradesh Police is interrogating because he (Kafaitullah Khan) was on his way to Bhopal and was about to be recruited there,” Yadav added.
He had yesterday said that ISI agent Kafaitullah Khan was invited to Pakistan by the handler and was told that he would be given assistance by their people at the Pakistan High Commission.
Two espionage rackets were busted last week with arrests of five people from New Delhi, Jammu and Kashmir and Kolkata.
