Backing Amitabh, Amar Asks How Can Actor Tell who is Guilty of 2002 Riots
Rallying behind Hindi film actor Amitabh Bachchan, expelled SP leader Amar Singh asked on Tuesday as to how can the actor tell the country who is guilty for Gujarat riots, reported PTI.
It may be mentioned that two days ago, Singh had suggested that Jaya Bachchan should quit SP and join him.
Sharing the dais with Bachchan at Symbiosis Institute of Media and Communications in Pune, Singh took on the Congress, saying that the Supreme Court has to take a decision with regard to the 2002 riots, which has the authority to do so, said report.
Singh also snubbed Bachchan’s detractors for suspecting his secular credentials, said report.
The sharing of dais between Bachchan and Singh bears signification in the backdrop of reports of a rift between the ex-SP leader and the Bachchan family.
Bachchan faced the strongest ever criticism yet from the Congress yesterday for his association with Narendra Modi -ruled Gujarat as brand ambassador of that state.
