BJP state president’s son’s Audi collided with several vehicles: Son was in the car but his name is not in the FIR, incident from Nagpur
In Nagpur, Maharashtra, a high-speed Audi car hit several vehicles. Two bike riders were injured in this. The car is registered in the name of Sanket Bawankule, son of BJP state president Chandrashekhar Bawankule.
According to the police, the incident happened on Monday (September 9) night at around 1 am. The Audi car first collided with a car. Then it hit a bike. Even then the car did not stop and went ahead and hit another car in Mankapur. The people in the car chased the Audi and stopped it near the Mankapur bridge.
Nagpur DCP Rahul Madane said on Tuesday (September 10) that Sanket has been called for questioning. He has confessed that he was present in the car at the time of the accident. However, the police had earlier said that Sanket was not in the car. The police have registered a case against two other people.
The name of the BJP leader’s son is not in the FIR
According to the information given by the police earlier, Arjun Haware was driving the car. He is Sanket’s friend and an engineer by profession. Ronit Chittamwar is a businessman. He was sitting next to Arjun. The car was returning from a beer bar.
The police had arrested Arjun Haware. However, he got bail after some time. Arjun and Ronit have been made accused in the FIR. Sanket Bawankule’s name is not in the FIR. Arjun and Ronit’s blood samples have been sent for alcohol test. So that it can be known whether they were drunk at the time of the incident or not.
Congress’s allegation – BJP leader’s son was in a drunken state The opposition alleges that the BJP leader’s son was driving the car. Sharing the CCTV footage of the incident on X, Maharashtra Congress wrote, ‘In Nagpur, the son of a senior BJP leader hit four-five cars in a drunken state at midnight, after which the entire home department got busy saving and hiding that boy. Is law and order only meant to harass the common people?
Sanjay Raut said- Fadnavis is not able to run the Home Department Shiv Sena (UBT) leader Sanjay Raut said on Tuesday (September 10), ‘The son of the BJP state president was drunk. Surprisingly, his name is not in the FIR. The number plate of the car was also removed after the accident. If Deputy CM Devendra Fadnavis, who hails from Nagpur, is not able to run the Home Department properly, then he is not eligible for this post.’
BJP chief said – action should be taken against the wrongdoer. Maharashtra BJP president Chandrashekhar Bawankule has also admitted that the car is registered in his son’s name. He said, ‘The car is in my son’s name. The police should conduct an impartial investigation of the accident. Justice is not different for anyone. Action should be taken against the culprits. No matter who is connected to politics, the law should be equal for everyone.’
