Call Records of Nalini’s Mobile Phone Being Analysed: TN Govt
A day after jail authorities recovered a mobile phone from Nalini, a life convict in the Rajiv Gandhi assassination case, lodged in high security Vellore prison, the Tamil Nadu government has said that the call records of the cell will be well-analysed before coming to a conclusion, reported PTI.
Addressing the state assembly, Law Minister Duraimurugan said that besides the cell phone, authorities also recovered two SIM cards from Nalini, report said.
He said that the mobile phone was found from a cloth bag, said report.
“When the jail authorities tried to recover the mobile phone from the bag, Nalini snatched it and threw it into a nearby toilet. However, an official acted quickly and recovered the phone from the toilet. The instrument has now been sent for proper analysis and we can make any conclusion only after getting the details of call records,” he was quoted as saying.
