Cong MLCs Support Jagan as Successor of YSR

A majority of the Congress members of the Andhra Pradesh legislative council has supported with unanimity the demand for making YS Jaganmohan Reddy the new Chief Minister to succeed his late father Rajasekhar Reddy.

Of the 54 party MLCs, as many as 33 met and passed a resolution supporting unanimously the demand for making Jaganmohan the new chief minister, said Mohd Jain, Council’s Deputy Chairman while talking to reporters in Hyderabad.

He informed that due to being out of the state capital, other MLCs could not attend the meeting. 20 of them supported the resolution over telephone.

The decision would be conveyed to the party high command, he said.
