Crackdown on radical Islamic organization Hizb-ut-Tahrir: NIA-ATS raids in Bhopal and Chhindwara, Telangana; 11 detained
National Investigation Agency (NIA) and Telangana ATS team raided Bhopal and Chhindwara on Tuesday morning. The team has detained 11 suspects. 4 youths have been arrested from Aishbagh area of Bhopal. Suspicious documents and anti-national material have been seized from them. According to sources, the NIA and ATS have found evidence of the suspected youths being linked to the terrorist organization Hizb-ut-Tahrir (HUT).
This arrest has taken place in Bhopal’s Aishbagh, Jawahar Colony and Bagh Farhat Afza. However, no news was given to the local police in this matter. Information about the arrest came to light on Tuesday morning. It is being told that 16 people of the radical Islamic organization Hizb-ut-Tahrir (HUT) have been detained. These include 11 suspects from Bhopal and Chhindwara and 5 from Telangana. If sources are to be believed, a son of Bhopal gas tragedy activist is also included in those taken into custody.
Suspicious documents and anti-national material have also been recovered from the detained people. However, there is no official confirmation about this. Bhopal’s Aishbagh police station in-charge Chaturbhuj Rathore told that we have no information in this matter. Just a while ago the families of three people came to the police station and told that some people pretending to be policemen entered the house and took the boys away.
Radical Islamic organization Hizb-ut-Tahrir is spreading its radical ideology rapidly while avoiding everyone’s eyes. According to the report, this organization is more dangerous than ISIS. It has spread its ideology in about 50 countries. The organization was formed in 1952 in Jerusalem. Its headquarter is in London. The organization has branches in Central Asia, Europe, South Asia and South East Asia. Especially in Indonesia. South Asia has a significant presence in Pakistan and Bangladesh.
