Deccan loses once again
CHENNAI: Chennai survived a last surge from White! Deccan back to loosing ways! White left it for too late.
Chennai wins despite a decent score. Chasing a target of 161 runs Chargers start their chase slowly, they lose Patel early.
But White and Dhawan played well and added for second wicket. After that White partnered with Christian and at one stage they were on course for an easy win.
But they batted slowly in the middle and the price for it was another defeat for Chargers. White made 77 runs in 53 balls. Morkel took one wicket.
Chennai elected to bat after winning the toss. Their consistent performer Plessis once again batted well. Dhoni and Raina also played good innings and guide Chennai to a competitive total of 160 runs.

MS Dhoni: The wicket has become slower, difficult for us to capitalise in the latter overs, because of the pitch. It is happening now, it happened last Champions League as well. Doug Bollinger is bowling well in the nets, but too many no-balls in the nets, so we need to assess how he goes. Ben Hilfenhaus did a good job today.
Kumar Sangakkara: It was a case of getting a good start, we got a good start, but they came back well with some good fielding. White batted well, but we dropped far too many to win a close game. We batted and bowled well but our fielding has cost us many games this season.
Suresh Raina is the man of the match for his all-round show.
Raina: I think I need to spend more time at the crease, hitting them well but need to bat till 15th. Whenever the left-handed batsman comes in, Dhoni asks me to bowl. We need to bat well, put some good scores on the board and defend well.
