Delhi gang rape case transferred to fast-track court
New Delhi: The Delhi gang rape case was on Thursday transferred to a fast-track court and trial in this case will take place on day to day basis from January 21.
Defence counsel M L Sharma, V K Anand, Vivek Sharma and A P Singh told reporters outside the court that they have also received the e-challan copy of the charge sheet and all the documents related to the case has also been supplied to them.
The counsel also said that the court has rejected prosecution’s plea for bringing the accused in handcuffs. The court had earlier fixed Thursday for scrutiny of the documents which has been completed.
Meanwhile, Ram Singh, one of the six accused in this case, has demanded that the case be transferred outside the national capital to ensure an impartial hearing.
