Delhi Police Question Himanshu in Connection with DU Murder
Delhi police on Saturday questioned slain professor HS Sabharwal’s son Himanshu in connection with the murder of his aide, Parminder Kumar, in the Delhi University campus.
Parminder was stabbed to death by unidentified assailants in the vicinity of the Khalsa College on Thursday night.
The victim was returning home after pasting posters in the campus for a candle-light vigil at India Gate on Sunday.
The vigil was planned in protest of the recent acquittal of six ABVP activists in connection with the professor’s alleged murder in 2006.
With no headway in the case, police have declared a reward of Rs 50,000 for anyone providing information on the murder.
Himanshu was questioned at the Maurice Nagar police station, for nearly three hours.
