Delhi won with a thriller by one run
NEW DELHI: Morkel guides Delhi for a terrific win. Rajasthan needs 15 runs in last two overs but Morkel gives only three runs. Needing 12 runs to win in last over Royals manages to made 11 runs in 5 balls thus requiring two off the last ball. But Shah becomes run out on the last ball.
Thus Delhi won the thrilling tie with one run.
Delhi made 152 runs with yet another superb batting performance from Sehwag. Taylor and Nayar supported him well.
Chasing the target of 152 Royals made a great start of 99 runs for the opening wicket. At one stage they were looking to win the game easily. But Morkel heroics win the game for Delhi with one run.
Dravid: I think we had them on the mat, left it too late, Morkel bowled an excellent over and this will hurt for sure.
I am proud of my team, there are not too many big players but they are fighting hard.
They would have gained a lot from winning the game. We need to pick up our game and play Delhi again. Credit to how Rahane batted, he was in the Indian team and he is out and will look to score tons and tons of runs.
Sehwag: Bowlers did an excellent job, Morkel did really well, I asked him to be free and bowl with freedom. I also thought we were losing this when they needed 14 off two but superb bowling from the duo.
Sehwag, who is also the man of the match: I think I am loving this format, trying to bat through the first half of the innings and then take it on.
