Deshmukh’s Son, Shinde’s Daughter Get Tickets, too

Finally, after withholding a decision for two days, the Congress has decided to give tickets to Vilasrao Deshmukh’s son and Sushil Kumar Shinde’s daughter for the Maharashtra Assembly elections.

Amit Deshmukh has been fielded from his father’s bastion Latur while Pranti Shinde will also contest her father’s seat Solapur.

The above decision came following the Congress party’s declaration that President Pratibha Patil’s son Rajendra Shekhawat would be party’s nominee from Amravati seat.

Maharashtra goes to polls on October 13, 2009.
