Digvijay Singh gets legal notice for contempt of court
Jabalpur: The city-based Nagrik Upbhokta Margdarshak Manch, a local consumer organisation sent a legal notice to Congress General Secretary Digvijay Singh on Tuesday, terming his statement against the Supreme Court’s “caged parrot” comment about the CBI as “contempt of Apex Court”.
Manch patron P G Najpande who is known to take up public causes through the public interest litigation (PIL) has sent a legal notice to Digvijay Singh through his lawyer, Amit Patel.
He said that the Congress General Secretary’s statement against the Supreme Court’s “caged parrot” comment about the CBI in connection with the coal scam amounts to “contempt of the Apex Court”.
