DPS girl raped by two during new year celebrations
New Delhi: A 17-year-old student of Delhi Public School (DPS), was allegedly raped by two of her Facebook friends on New Year’s Eve in South Delhi.
The incident took place in South Delhi on December 31st night when the girl was out to celebrate New Year. According to the police, the two men first sedated the girl and then raped her.
The victim was invited by the man in his flat at Safdurjung Enclave for New Year celebrations. The man along with one of his accomplice first offered drinks laced with sedatives and then outraged her modesty.
The duo, working with a leading IT company was arrested after the girl approached the police and lodged an FIR.
The accused have been identified as Naveen Singh and Rajesh Singh, residents of Sarojini Nagar in South Delhi.
Both the accused were produced in Saket court on Tuesday afternoon and later sent to Tihar Jail.
