Elections results have showed that politics of Bihar has changed: Jaitely

New Delhi:Bihar as a victory of meritorious leadership over dynastic politics, BJP on Wednesday described the election results in Bihar.

In an obvious attack on RJD chief Lalu Prasad and Rahul Gandhi who campaigned for Congress, Senior BJP leader Arun Jaitley said the election results have showed that politics of Bihar has changed and that “charisma or family” does not win elections.

Jately said, “Nitish Kumar and Sushil Kumar Modi have worked on the coalition in a very mature way.This is a positive vote for NDA and Bihar’s future,” Complimenting the Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar for leading the coalition to victory.Taking a dig at Congress, Arun Jaitley said that the victory of JD(U)-BJP in Bihar is a victory of merit over dynasty politics.

“Nitish Kumar and Sushil Kumar Modi worked on the development against some parties who only showed off the glamour of their family’s name. Jaitley also congratulated the people of Bihar for the victory.
He said,” I want to congratulate the people of Bihar that they have voted for development and to change the future of the state.” Joining the words, senior BJP leader Ravi Shankar Prasad also said that development has paid off in Bihar.

“What happened to all the campaign that Rahul Gandhi did in Bihar,” he quipped. Speaking on the JD(U)-BJP post poll alliance, he said,”Nitish is the leader but he consults us. There is a profound level of understanding in between Nitish and the BJP, on the state level and the national level.”
