Ganguly loses at Home: IPL
KOLKATA: Ganguly loses at home! Ganguly playing at home from Pune warriors does not able to guide his team home second time in a row.
Pune chasing a modest total of 151 runs falter just 7 runs short. Angelo Mathews try to guide Pune to win with a flurry of sixes but fell short of support from other end.
Pune does not start their chase well with losing wickets at regular intervals with 5/55 at one stage. After that Ganguly and Mathews took them very close to victory.
But then they lose Ganguly at 128 with team needing 23 runs in 14 balls. But they manage to score only 143 runs, seven short of the target. Lange took three wickets. Narine bowled a beautiful spell and give just 13 runs in four overs.
Earlier, Kolkata elected to bat first after winning the toss. At one stage they were looking to get a big scoe with score board showing 113 for none in 12.3 overs. Ghambhir made 56 while Mccullum 42.
Afetr that Kolkata lose direction and was only able to set a target of 150 runs. Pune bowled very tight lin ein last 10 overs and allowed Kolkata to score only 52 runs.

Gautam Gambhir: The turnout was fantastic, the crowd was supporting both teams. Was important for us to take the advantage in the first few overs because we knew that the pitch was going to slow down. We need to do better otherwise in the second half of the innings. Lot of credit to the bowlers for the way they defended the low score.
Souav Ganguly: We are getting close, but not getting over the line, good to play at Eden Gardens. Lost too many wickets at the start, Narine bowled superbly, if wasn’t there we would have probably won the game. We need to bat well at the top of the innings. Need to start performing in the middle, talks are okay but need to start winning.
Sunil Narine is the man of the match. 1/13 in four overs.
