Harbhajan Fined for Driving Hummer Vehicle without Registration
Chandigarh Police has fined off-spinner Harbhajan Singh for plying without registration number his newly imported Hummer vehicle.
H S Doon, Senior Superintendent of Police (traffic) Chandigarh, said that the cricketer’s vehicle was yesterday found moving without number plate.
“We have issued a challan of Rs 3,000 for the violation,” he added.
Harbhajan is in the city to participate in the BCCI Sahara Corporate Cup and yesterday, he boarded an Innova vehicle on his way to the hotel from the airport. But along the way, he changed over and sat in his newly purchased Hummer, which was reportedly being driven by another person.
It may be mentioned that the vehicle without any registration number had escaped any challan by the Punjab police when it had been driven about 150 kms from his Jalandhar home to Chandigarh by a friend of the cricketer.
