Infosys Engineer, Wife Arrested for Abusing Teenage Maid
In connection with an alleged physical abuse of a teenage maid, a techie and his wife has been arrested in Bangalore.
Pallav Chakravarthy, 32, a software engineer with Infosys Technologies Limited, and his wife Sinchita, 28, were taken into custody for physically abusing the 15-year-old domestic help, said police.
Admitted to a government hospital for burns, the teenager told police that the two used to abuse her physically and had poured oil on her back.
Police said that the duo were produced before the jurisdictional magistrate and a case under Juvenile Justice Act of IPC has been registered against them.
