Kasab Trial Begins Today
Ajmal Amir Kasab, the lone Pakistani terrorist to be captured alive during the audacious and concerted 26/11 attacks on the Indian commercial capital – Mumbai, is taking part in court hearing on Monday. The hearing is likely to commit the trial to a special court.
The hearing on Monday takes place via video conferencing and is the first Kasab faces in India.
Kasab, the prime evidence India holds of Pakistani involvement in the gruesome attacks that killed over 180, faces threats to his life and is heavily guarded by Indian security agencies.
Leaving nothing to chance, security personnel have commissioned the construction of a secure 20-foot tunnel to take Kasab from his prison cell to the special court.
