Kejriwal wanted Anna to sacrifice his life for Lokpal movement: Agnivesh
New Delhi: Former Team Anna member Swami Agnivesh has said that social activist turned politician Arvind Kejriwal wanted Anna to die while holding his fast for strong Jan Lokpal bill.
According to Agnivesh, Kejriwal was of the view that death of Gandhian Anna Hazare during the fast will hugely benefit their movement for strong anti-graft law. He made this revelation in an interview to a news channel.
Agnivesh claimed that when he questioned Arvind, during Anna’s indefinite fast for Jan Lokpal bill in April 2011, that why he want septuagenarian to hold fast, Arvind replied that his life is not important but his death will benefit the movement.
It is to be noted that similar claims were made by self-proclaimed spiritual guru Bhaiyyu Maharaj. He had alleged that Kejriwal was pressurizing Anna to hold fast.
