Key Hooch Tragedy Accused Arrested
The prime accused of Ahemdabad’s hooch tragedy that claimed more than 100 lives, has been arrested along with one of his aides.
A senior police official said that Vinod Chauhan alias Dagri was nabbed near Vadodara along with is accomplice.
Chauhan allegedly manufactured the spurious liquor in his village in Mahemdabad taluka of Kheda district.
According to police, Chauhan had supplied 1100 litres of spurious liquor spiked with Methanol to the city in the first week of July.
The hooch was delivered to different parts of the city and its consumption led to the death of over 100 people, they added. Police said investigations are still on in the case.
