Krishna Asks Qureshi to Expedite 26/11 Trial
Indian has urged Pakistan to expedite the proceedings in the 26/11 Mumbai terror attacks and unravel the full conspiracy behind the attacks, said reports.
Pakistan has arrested seven suspects in the connection with the case, who are presently on trial.
External Affairs Minister SM Krishna called up his Pakistani counterpart Shah Mehmood Qureshi on Wednesday and told him categorically that Pakistan needed to expedite the trial on its soil, reported Zee News.
The report said that Krishna also asked Qureshi to regularly pass on information concerning the trial to New Delhi.
The minister also asked the Pakistani establishment to raze down all terror infrastructure present across the border so that terror attacks can be prevented in future.
In last year’s attack, at least 166 people were killed and hundreds others injured when 10 gunmen who sailed from Karachi in Pakistan attacked two hotels, a railway station, a hospital, and a café in India’s financial capital Mumbai in November 2008.
