Modi said- Congressmen got angry when I took part in Ganesh Puja: Earlier I used to take blessings from my mother on my birthday, today a tribal mother fed me kheer

Prime Minister Narendra Modi is on a visit to Odisha on the occasion of his 74th birthday. During this, he gave a statement for the first time on the Ganesh Puja controversy.

He said at Janata Maidan in Bhubaneswar- People hungry for power are having problems with Ganesh Puja. People in the Congress ecosystem have been angry for the last few days because I participated in Ganpati Puja.

Before coming here today, I went to the PM residence of a tribal family. Every year on my birthday, I used to go to seek blessings from my mother, she used to feed me jaggery. My mother is not here today, but this time a tribal mother fed me kheer.

Earlier, Modi also launched the Subhadra Yojana. He also laid the foundation stone of various development projects costing more than Rs 800 crore along with several railway and national highway projects.

3 big things of Modi’s speech…

  1. On the policy of divide and rule: When the British were engaged in dividing the country in their hunger for power, divide and rule became their weapon. Then Lokmanya Tilak awakened the soul of India through Ganesh Utsav. The British who followed the policy of divide and rule used to hate Ganesh Utsav even then, even today the power hungry people who are engaged in dividing and breaking the society are having trouble with Ganesh Puja.
  2. On women empowerment: Another reflection of women empowerment in India is the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana. Due to this scheme, property in even the smallest villages is now being owned by women. Any country, any state progresses only when half of its population, that is, our Nari Shakti, participates equally in its development. Therefore, the increasing strength of women is going to be the key to Odisha’s development.
  3. On 100 days of the government: Today is the 100th day of the government. During this time, big decisions have been taken for the poor, farmers and youth. Recently, a big decision has been taken for paddy farmers, oilseeds and onion farmers. The duty on import of foreign oil has been increased so that the produce can be purchased from the farmers of the country at a higher price. Apart from this, the duty on export of Basmati has been reduced.
