Monsoon Tracker of the country: Heavy rain in Chhattisgarh, communication with 4 states disrupted; Flood in 3 districts of Madhya Pradesh, celebrations in Rajasthan as dam fills up

It has been raining in Chhattisgarh for the last two days. Indravati and Chintavagu rivers are in spate. Sukma and Bijapur have lost contact with Maharashtra, Odisha, Andhra Pradesh and Telangana. There is a yellow alert today too.

It has been raining continuously for the last 2 days in Madhya Pradesh. There is a flood like situation in Balaghat, Mandla, Seoni. There is a red alert for rain today in Vidisha, Raisen, Sehore, Narmadapuram, Harda, Guna and Ashoknagar.

It is raining with strong winds in Jaipur, Rajasthan today. When the Nanda Dam in Beawar district overflowed after 25 years, people started dancing and singing with the band. Rain is expected in the state till September 15.

Weather of other states of the country Odisha: Flood-like situation has occurred in 7 districts due to heavy rains. 2 thousand people have been rescued during the rescue operation. Roads in many areas of Malkangiri, Koraput and Ganjam have been washed away.

Himachal Pradesh: 288 people have lost their lives in the state. Out of these, 130 died in road accidents, 6 in landslides, 8 in floods, 23 in cloudburst, 27 in drowning, 1 in lightning, 26 in snake bites.

Delhi: Wednesday morning started with rain in the capital Delhi. The day temperature dropped by 4 degrees. People had to face traffic jams due to waterlogging in many areas.

Maharashtra: Heavy rain warning has been issued in the state for two days. Mumbai, Palghar, Thane and Pune may receive rain today and tomorrow. Ganpati immersion is also to take place today.

Kerala: There is a heavy rain alert in 6 districts of the state today. These include Ernakulam, Thrissur, Malappuram, Kozhikode, Kannur and Kasargod. These districts recorded rainfall ranging from 64.5mm to 115.5mm on Tuesday.

Karnataka: Kodagu, North Kannada, South Kannada, Udupi, Chikmagaluru and Shimoga are expected to receive heavy rains for 7 days. Along with rain, winds can also blow at a speed of 30-40 kmph here.
