NIA to Complete Probe into 26/11 with 4-6 Weeks: Govt
Government has said that prove into David Coleman Headley and Tahawwur Hussain Rana’s links to 26/11 will be completed in next four to six weeks by the National Investigation Agency (NIA).
“NIA has been entrusted with the investigation into both David Headley and Rana. They are continuing with it and we expect that investigations will take about four to six weeks and as soon as investigations are completed, the NIA will file the necessary chargesheet,” Home Secretary G K Pillai said.
He made the statement while speaking to media persons on the sidelines of a DRDO seminar on low-intensity conflict.
Both Headley and Rana were arrested by the FBI in Chicago last month for plotting terror strikes in Denmark and India.
On cooperation with the FBI, Pillai said that the American agency had shared with India information given to it by Headley.
