Nitin Garg’s Body to Reach India by Saturday Afternoon: Reports
Indian student Nitin Garg’s body will be flown back on Saturday afternoon, said reports. He was stabbed to death in Melbourne last week.
Reports said that his body would arrive via Duabai in an Emirates Flight. The body will be handed over to his brother and then taken to Punjab by road.
Garg, 21, who was an accounting graduate, was stabbed in West Footscray suburb of Melbourne when he was on his way back to work last Saturday. He staggered to Hungry Jack’s restaurant – where he worked – and pleaded for help before collapsing.
He was then taken to the Royal Melbourne Hospital where he breathed his last. He hailed from Punjab.
The ministry of external affairs has assured the family of the deceased financial aid and the Australian authorities have said catching the killers is a ‘high priority’ for them.
