One CRPF Jawan Killed, Another Injured as Militants Open Fire in Srinagar
A Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) trooper has been killed and another injured in an indiscriminate firing by terrorists at Lal Chowk area in Srinagar, said media reports.
Reports said quoting eyewitnesses that many armed terrorists began firing on the CRPF personnel from close range and that they carried small arms like pistol and revolvers.
However, terrorists escaped from the spot after the sudden strike, reports said.
Immediately, extra security forces were rushed to the area, which was then cordoned off, said reports.
Reports said citing sources that gunfight was still on between terrorists and security personnel in Koker Bazaar area.
