Oppn Creates Uproar on Raja’s Ouster, Both Houses of Parliament Adjourned
Both the Houses of Parliament have been adjourned following pandemonium as opposition demanded Telecom Minister A Raja’s resignation for his alleged involvement in the reported scam in allocation of 2G spectrum, reported PTI.
In the Lok Sabha, AIADMK members insisted that Raja should be ousted, while SP, RJD, BSP and JD(U) members trooped into the well of the House shouting slogans demanding caste-based Census, report said.
SP supremo Mulayam Singh Yadav and RJD chief Lalu Prasad even moved towards Speaker Meira Kumar’s chair in support of their demand, said report.
Kumar repeated appealed to the members to allow the Question Hour to move ahead but they didn’t pay heed and continued to raise slogans on various issues, said report.
Amid the din, Kumar adjourned the House till noon.
