The lively beats of Bhagoria swept through Jhabua as Chief Minister Mohan Yadav on Sunday joined the celebrations, dancing with tribals and embracing the festival’s infectious energy. The air buzzed with drumbeats, cheers, and a vibrant display of cultural pride.

Clearly captivated, Yadav said the rhythms of Bhagoria make everyone tap their feet instinctively. He hailed the festival as an age-old tradition deeply woven into Jhabua’s identity. Addressing the crowd, he stressed the government’s commitment to preserving tribal heritage while ensuring employment and education for youth.

In a major announcement, he unveiled free coaching programmes for tribal students aspiring to enter medical and professional courses. He also promised new medical colleges in tribal areas and free electricity under the Solar Pump Scheme to support farmers.

Furthering development efforts, Yadav directed officials to explore linking the Banas River with the Narmada to secure Jhabua’s water supply. He also announced land allocation for dharamshalas in Omkareshwar, Ujjain, and Jhabua, alongside road construction from Kalka Mata Temple to M-2 Hotel.

At Dilip Gate, the Chief Minister paid tribute to late MP Dilip Singh Bhuria, acknowledging his contributions to tribal welfare. Later, he was welcomed with traditional honours at Dilip Club, receiving a Jhooladi, Safa, and a symbolic bow and arrow.

The Bhagoria Fair procession saw over 250 drum and mandal teams, turning the streets into a pulsating sea of dance and music. The festival, steeped in tradition, continues to be a powerful testament to Jhabua’s vibrant cultural legacy.
