Rajasthan ends losing streak: IPL

CHANDIGARH: Rajasthan break their run of four consecutive losses with a big win over Punjab. Their batting fired collectively and post a target of 178 runs for Punjab. Dravid, Watson, Menaria and Hodge all fired simultaneously and played good innings to guide their team toa comfortable total. Watson looked in his old self with 34 runs in 17 balls and 25 huge sixes. Ryan Harris picked four wickets.

Punjab does not start their chase well with Marsh virtually not getting any support from other end. They lose wickets consistently. Marsh made 34 runs in 27 balls. Almost all the Rajasthan bowlers bowled well and with a tight line. Punjab at any stage does not look to chase the target.

Rahul Dravid: Tait added some spice to our attack, created some element of doubt in the batsmen. Conditions made us go for the five changes, good performance to get to 177. We have lost a couple of close games, but that is the nature of the competition, we need to play well.

David Hussey: It was a par score, but we played badly with both, the bat and the ball. Playing better away from home, we did not turn up tonight, need to regroup quickly and get to Hyderabad.
