Rave party busted, 15 girls arrested
Hyderabad. Thirty youth, including 15 girls, were arrested by police that busted a rave party at a resort in the Hayatnagar suburb of Hyderabad on late Friday night.
Police seized 14 grams of different drugs including cocaine, 24 LSD (blots and tubes) after apprehending five persons, a senior police officer said on Sunday.
“A rave party which was going on at Banjara Hills road no. 10 last night was raided and five persons including two women and an Ugandan national, who was selling the banned drug substance to locals, were nabbed,” Banjara Hills ACP Shanker Reddy said.
Police said the girls from Hyderabad, Mumbai and Bangalore were brought for a birthday party of one Srinivas Reddy and they were all participating in a nude dance.
Police found liquor, pornographic CDs, condoms, food, flowers and clothes from cottages. A police officer said 15 cars were also seized from the resort.
Children of some rich businessmen and bureaucrats are believed to be among those arrested. A man from Mumbai had taken the resort on lease.
The police took action following complaints from residents of Hayatnagar, where several resorts have come up during the last decade.
