RSS Favours Younger BJP Leadership
The Bharatiya Janata Party’s ideological principality, the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) on Tuesday suggested that it, perhaps, was time for the party to pass the baton on to the next generation.
The views came hours before the chintan baithak – a BJP brain-storming conclave – kicks off in Shimla on Wednesday.
“BJP has to decide about it. This is not a question of what we think they have to manage. This is a universal truth that young generation must replace, but when and where they have to decide”, RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat told a leading TV news channel.
While admitting that the BJP needed to transit to the next generation, the RSS chief said that the privilege of deciding when and how was with the party.
