Sanga and White guide Chargers to second win of season
CUTTACK: Sanga on song! Captain Sangakkara returns to form with a devastated innings and helps to guide Chargers their second win of the season.
Sangakkara combined with White, who yet again played a superb innings, took Chargers to huge total of 186 runs. Both of them added 157 runs for the third wicket. Initially they played cool before launching an assault in the final overs.
They took 25 runs in each of 18th and 19th over. Sangakkara made 82 in 52 balls while white made 74 in 45 balls. From Pune Kumar bowl well and took one wicket for 22 runs.
Pune started their chase well with Ganguly and Clarke adding 90 runs for 2nd wicket. But due to disciplined bowling of Chargers they fell 13 short of the target. Ganguly made 45 runs while Clarke playing in his inaugural IPL game made 41 runs in 31 balls. Smith also played well and remains unbeaten at 47 runs in only 27 balls.
