Talking pen selected as one of the Top 120 records of 2012
BHOPAL: To Encourage, Motivate and Honor such people ‘Who Dare’; India was celebrated on January 12, 2012 at 12:00 noon in 12 cities all over India. Attempts to break more than 150 Records took place on Jan 12. In addition to that 2012 edition of India Book of Records also is launched in two languages.
Manish Rajoria who was the first to launch the talking pen has been selected as one of the Top 120 records of 2012 as, the first talking book (50 titles) was launched by Adarsh Pvt. Ltd. on July 30, 2010 in World Book Fair, New Delhi.
There were 200 books available in 18 languages including Bengali, Hindi, Gujarati, Marathi, Bengali, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, Malayalam, Oriya, Urdu, Punjabi, Sindhi, German, French, Dutch, Russian and Spanish.
These books are published with the MPR codes; the device called MPR or talking pen is available for reading these books at INR 4000 and consists recording function, in-built speaker, camera, earphones, 2 GB memory chip, lithium ion battery with 7 hrs back-up that can recharged just like a cell-phone, a USB plug is also a useful feature as the pen would read the code and read the book by activating the pre-loaded audio files.

Rajoria was invited at the Reliance Time Out, DB City Mall for record felicitation ceremony was overwhelmed at receiving this invitation, and said, “After being a proud India Book record holder this felicitation ceremony comes as an absolute surprise. Records breakers festival is held for first time in India. This festival is celebrated to honor and appreciate people like me who are always striving to do something beyond the limits. I have broken the limits by my sheer will and mind power.”
International guests from Vietnam Book of Records, Thailand Book of Records, Russia Book of Records, Canada & Italy as gathering to witness this record breaking event.
At each of the 12 locations a very unique national/world records were broken. This Event is being organized by Asia book of Records in association with Diamond Pockets book and Reliance Time out.
