Three Sentenced to Life Imprisoment for Gangraping Minor

For abducting and gangraping a minor girl in a moving car, three youths have been convicted and sentenced to life imprisonment by district court in Surat, reported PTI.

Hearing the case, district judge RP Dholariya found the three – Sahid Sayyed, Tariq Sayyed and Abu Bakar – guilty of kidnapping the 17-year-old girl while she was on her way to coaching classes and of raping her in a moving car on June 12 last year, said report.

The shocking incident occurred when the girl and her make friend were going for tuitions in the morning, said report.

The three youth came in car and forced the two inside saying that they were policemen. The duo was taken a secluded location where the boy, also a student of class 12, was tied up inside the car by the accused, who then raped the girl in turns, report said.

The torment lasted two hours after which the two were left at the same spot from where they were abducted.

Two of the accused in the case, Sahid Sayyed and Tariq Sayyed, are cousins. While Sahid is son of Circle Police Inspector of Dholka town of Ahmedabad district, Tariq is the son of a police constable who is serving with the Surat city police.
