Three Students Commit Suicide in Mumbai
Three students, one of them a TV dance reality show star, has committed suicide by hanging themselves in Mumbai in last 48 hours, said police.
Shushant Patil, a seventh standard student of Sharada Ashram School at Dadar in central Mumbai, was found hanging in the school toilet on Monday, said police.
Senior Inspector Ashok Unde of Dadar police station said that Sushant arrived at school at 7 am but was absent from the class at the time of attendance. He was found hanging in the toilet when checked, he said.
“Preliminary probe suggests that he was worried since he had failed in four subjects in the semester examination. This might have forced him to end his life,” Unde said.
In the second incident, Neha Sawant, a sixth standard student, was found hanging by her dupatta to a ceiling rod inside her Sai Darshan Apartment’s house, Dombivli, in neighbouring Thane district on Saturday morning, said police.
It may be mentioned that she had taken part in three TC dance reality shows, including Boogie Woogie. Also, she was a student of a dance academy, where she excelled in various forms of dances.
