New Delhi: In a shocking incident, Union Minister General VK Singh’s wife Bharti Singh on Wednesday claimed the she is being blackmailed by a relative’s friend named Pradip Chauhan.
She said that Chauhan called her and demanded Rs 2 crore. He reportedly threatened her that he would release some audio and video platforms if he was not paid Rs 2 crore. She also told the police that the blackmailer not only demanded the extortion money but also threatened her family with harm.
A complaint has been registered at the Tughlaq Road Police Station. Meanwhile, a special team has been constituted to investigate the entire matter and to get hold of the blackmailer. According to sources, Pradip Chauhan is known to VK Singh’s family.

In a police complaint, she said that Chauhan is using phone numbers 9999995969 and 9555555451 to threaten her. She alleged that last time he called her in the night of August 6 around 12’O clock in the night several times. She also alleged that Pradeep Chauhan is a dangerous kind of person and carries guns with him. She said that Chauhan threatened her that he will ruin her husband’s reputation.
However, there is no information available till now that what audio or video clips the blackmailer could have with him. The Union minister hasn’t said a word over the issue till now. The Delhi Police is taking the matter seriously and making a stoic silence over the issue.
