Three Wagons of Goods Train Carrying Petroleum Products Derail in Ratlam

Three wagons of a goods train derailed near a railway yard in Ratlam late on Thursday. Officials confirming the incident said no one was injured in the accident.
The goods train, carrying petroleum products, was on its way to Bhopal from Rajkot.
The official said that though no one was hurt in the incident, it had affected rail traffic on the down line.
“Efforts are on to restore the route,” the official said.
“One of the wagons is leaking petroleum products, and we are taking all precautions to avoid any untoward incidents,” Divisional Railway Manager (DRM) of Ratlam, Rajnish Kumar, said.
“People have been advised to stay away from the derailed wagons and to refrain from lighting cigarettes or bidis,” he added.
Videos of the incident were being circulated on social media.
