Minority Affairs Minister Salman Khursheed has said that there is nothing much left to analyse in connection with the 1992 demolition of the Babri Mosque and that people have already judged what had happened during the demolition.

“I don’t think there was any remark against Muslim community (in the Liberhan Commission report). This (report) is something that we will discuss in Parliament and it will be unfair for me to say anything outside Parliament,” he told reporters.

He gave this statement while responding to a query if there were anything against Muslim community in the Liberhan Commission report. BJP and Sangh Parivar leaders have been indicted in the report for demolition.

Khursheed said that whatever had happened has already been judged by people “in a sense that there has been many elections and all the people who have been involved have all come before the public on various platforms and has received either acceptance or rejections”.

The minister observed that there was nothing much left to analyse in connection with the 1992 incident and that Justice MS Liberhan has looked at whatever material was available to him and arrived at a judgement.

“This judgement is for anybody to accept or not. People will analyse it. People will hear the debate in Parliament and come to their own conclusions,” he said.
