2012-13 declared as Quality improvement year

Bhopal. Stressing on the creative role of principals and professors, the Higher Education Minister Laxmikant Sharma has declared 2012-13 as Quality improvement year. He lauded their cooperation during Quality Year 2011-12.
Shri Sharma hoped that the effort of Principal and professors will be excellent during year 2012-13. He urged them to read quality management in higher education booklet available on the departmental website.
The Higher Education Minister said that works carried out in colleges and their results during Quality Year are encouraging. Despite lack of resources, several colleges have proved their willpower. He said that Bhasha Sudhar Sankalan and Ambassador Professor Scheme have yielded encouraging results.
The Higher Education Minister said that global scenario of higher education is changing rapidly. ‘We are facing challenges of making global-level higher education to students. Shri Sharma said that knowledge, information and job-oriented skills are incomplete without higher education. ‘it is necessary that we move ahead on the path of progress while preserving out traditional values. We should have making degree-oriented knowledge job-oriented through use of information technology.’ Shri Sharma said.
Shri Sharma also lauded online admission process in colleges. Due to it, choices of colleges and courses are becoming available at home. Shri Sharma said that problems of principals will also be resolved on priority.
The Higher Education Minister said that principals and professors can send their suggestions about efforts being made for improving higher education to academic branch of Directorate of Higher Education.
