26 more public services included in Public Services Delivery Guarantee Act

Bhopal: In accordance with Chief Minister Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan’s announcement, 26 more public services have been included in Public Services Delivery Guarantee Act. As many as 102 services of 21 departments were already under the Act. Public Services Management Department has issued an order regarding this.

It is noteworthy that Chief Minister Shri Chouhan had announced at Public Service Day on Wednesday that 26 more public services will be included in the Act.

The new 26 services included in Public Services Delivery Guarantee Act include – sanction of cases under Mukhyamantri Bal Hriday Upchar Yojana, registration and licence of private nursing homes/sanatoriums and renewal of registration and licence of private nursing homes/sanatoriums under Public Health & Family Welfare Department, issuance of post-mortem (P.M.) report on application by family members of deceased, issuance of copy of FIR by a senior officer in case it is not provided by station house officer and issuance of duplicate arms licence under Home Department and issuance of licence to contractors under Contract Labour Act, 1970, renewal of licence to contractors and making changes in it, issuance of new licences of hazardous factories under Factory Act (A) employing upto 100 workers (B) employing over 100 workers, renewal/amendment of licences for non-hazardous factories, disposal of applications received under self-certification scheme pertaining to commercial establishments/motor vehicle and other establishments and applications received under self-certification scheme received from factories under Labour Department.

Similarly, the services of Public Health and Family Welfare Department brought under the Act include issuance of licences under Drug and Cosmetics Act, issuance of licences under Rule 69 (1) and 90 (1) of Drugs and Cosmetics Rules 1945 except those pertaining to Central Licensing System, issuance of permissions for over 10 medicines under Drug and Cosmetics Act, permission/no objection certificates of Central Government, issuance of permission for manufacture of maximum 10 medicines and issuance of purchase orders. The new services of Urban Administration and Environment Department covered under the Act include giving consent to environment clearance cases of major/medium industries under Water (Prevention and Control over Pollution) Act and section 25 of the Act 1974 and consent to environment clearance cases of major/medium industries under section 21 of Air (Prevention and Control over Pollution) Act 1981 etc.
